26 places list MCP servers: 1 you publish to with a command, 11 GitHub lists you join by pull request, 1 that copies another directory, and 13 that take a web form, a command or a comment. The table has all of them, one row each, with what it costs and how many pull requests and issues were open on the GitHub-hosted ones.
All 26 directories, side by side
Prices from each directory's own form, checked 29 Sept 2026. Queue counts: measured 1 Oct 2026.
Measured . Open pull requests and open issues on each list's GitHub repo, counted with GitHub's search API (is:pr is:open, is:issue is:open). Each number links to the same search on GitHub. Query method: GitHub's search API[3]. A dash means the directory is not on GitHub, so there is no count to take. Prices were read again on 1 Oct 2026 for mcp.so[4], MCP Market[5] and mcpservers.org[6].
GitHub Issues is switched off on both punkpeye lists, so their issue count is 0[7][8]. The Goose counts are for the whole Goose project, not only its extension list[9].
An open count is a snapshot, not a wait time. A list can hold thousands of open pull requests and still merge some every day, or hold a few and merge none. How long merges took is measured separately, from merged pull requests, in how long it takes to get an MCP server merged. Neither figure says one directory will review you faster than another.
The registry alone. Publishing by hand takes a package marker, a server.json and three commands, and the quickstart has no payment step[1]. The steps are in the publishing guide.
The 11 GitHub lists. Each is a fork, one added entry and a pull request, which costs nothing. The Directory link in the table opens that list's steps and its own contributing page.
One server, once. If you have a single server and an afternoon, every row above can be done by hand.
ManyCP is for doing it again for several servers, or keeping the listings current when a version changes. It costs $19 once per server, or from $9 a month[11]. On the 13 directories that take a form, ManyCP fills in the fields and opens the page, and you press Submit yourself. Where a directory needs your sign-in, your identity or your card, only you can send it. The free checker shows where a repo is already listed, with no signup.
